Velvet Brown was established in 2007 by sisters Heather Harris and Hazel Ball, borne out of a passion for stylish and elegant home accessories. Prior to launching Velvet Brown, the sisters owned two independent shops in Buckinghamshire which, over the last 10 years, they developed into highly respected and successful retail businesses.
With a love of sourcing and buying ‘nice things’, we hope to share our passion with you. Whether you’re looking for a decorative or practical item for your own home, a treat for yourself or a gift for discerning family and friends, we hope you will enjoy browsing our website.
Wherever possible we like to deal with small suppliers and artisans who can offer something a little bit different. In addition, several of our decorative accessories are hand-made by ourselves. We aim to bring you tasteful, high quality home accessories including beautiful scented candles, soft lambs wool throws and cushions, wickerwork baskets and thoughtful gifts. All the products we select for our collection are items we would choose for our own homes. We adore simple things which are beautifully made and hope you will too.
Our philosophy throughout our retail career has always been to offer a good quality and stylish range of products, together with a friendly and efficient service. Now that we have moved on to the internet, we still apply that same principle to the world of ecommerce.
